If Imam Ali was
divinely appointed,
why did he pledge bayʿah to those who opposed his claim?
Why would the Qur'an
spell out minor details explicitly
yet
stay silent on something as major as Imamat,
if it were essential?
If Imamat was established early,
why did the idea of nass only
emerge generations after Imam Ali?
If the Imam only
"interprets" the Qur'an,
why is he allowed to override its teachings?
If the Imam merely intercedes,
why do Ismailis pray directly to him
during paat?
If following the Imam is
required for salvation,
are all Muslims who reject him damned despite their prayer
and fasting?
Why send a final Prophet with a
complete religion if later Imams
can alter that religion?
If Ali was the "10th incarnation of Vishnu,"
as Ginans claim,
why did he never say so himself?
If balance is truth, why follow
only the bāṭin and
abandon the ẓāhir? Isn't that esoteric
extremism?
The Prophet ﷺ never took money from Muslims
— so what justifies dasond?
